    Excellent, but now what they need to do is remove the stupid boundries limiting your city size as that is what is stopping me from actually, playing the game.

    It's about time!
    We've all been waiting patiently for the game to open up for the modding community.

    Even though it's taken an age, and the game is still a bit of a mess in places... It's nice to see that they've not forgotten about promising us that we'd be able to make our own content.

    Hopefully this is just the beginning of the game going down the right path.

    It's just a shame they have irreparably damaged their reputation by constantly lying to customers in an attempt to disguise nothing more than online DRM checks.
    EA never fail to give people reasons not to buy their games, yet people still get suckered into buying EA games.

    Yea give me the whole map rather than a tiny square section that we get allocated in online play and I might play sim city again.

    At least they offer a refund on games though if you don't like them or have issues running them unlike Steam.

    Neither did origin initially. It was probably introduced as a result of how badly sim city got slammed.

    EA started the whole refunding & replacing games in 2010 when they took on All Points Bulletin and it crashed and burned within a month or two of release (they did other refunds before then, but not so publicly).

    @damien c;
    Similar to EA, Valve have done refunds for some games, there were a couple that had experienced an abysmal release... that zombie game (the name escapes me) not too long ago is the most recent that rings a bell with having mass refunds being issued through Steam.

    Is this the only change they are making? I thought the game was still plagued with bad bugs and crashes.

    I aint played in a while but last year around december it played fine with chetah back enabled.

    Guessing this will be a optional download of a few gig more of data. Not something ill personally be downloading if I have a choice.

    Oh it is, the quantity and sheer magnitude of some bugs is almost at a comical level.

    They've done a couple of semi-critical patches from what I've seen, however my experiences lead me to believe the patches have partially fixed a couple of things but cause things that previously seemed to work fine to play up a little.

    My hope would be that when they eventually put the modding tools in the hands of the community, they'll just leave the game alone and let us fix problems through our custom content.
    I know they'll never just leave it alone for the players to modify, but we can hope.
