    Hello!
NaeKuh contacted me about a quiet, powerful 24/7 build. He wants it tuned for heavy quads, 200-250w (not decided yet). We are hoping for quiet operation, and -30c at a high load. parts i have picked out for this build are-

    Compressor-Aspera ne2134gk
    Condenser-Drewmeister Cube condenser
    Evap-Delux maze by me
Refrigerant-r507a (not r402a because of 24/7 operation- easier on compressor)
    metering device: cap tube
others: 3 feet of suction line, Temperature display(undecided), Custom case

    Some pictures-

If anybody wants more pics of evaporator or dimensions let me know.

    Regards
edit- please excuse the wiring on the compressor. i just through the box on for the picture

Subscribed. Looking forward to this one.
I like the look of that evap, nice work (I assume you made it yourself)

Thanks:clap: Yes was made on my 4 axis milling machine, soon to be cnc

I pick up more acetylene tomorrow, then i can braze about half of system together. for the other half i must wait on my o-w-1 torch tip for my oxygen acetylene torch...

    Stay tuned,

    Reed

Oh ****ing yeah, Another Cooling mod with GAS. This is an interesting project really. Buddy I like it and I want to see more. The block is nice but I don't have clue why it look like that. good job

nice one teyber, another phase change build. im hoping to get my hvac license in a few months. have you tried putting the capillary down through the middle on any of the evaps?

Ck the evaps look like that because the r507a gets pushed through the cappillary tube at high pressure, and when it comes out it changes state (phase change?) taking in a lot of temperature.

    Yup.

Compressor compresses a gas, whatever it can be- in my case on hadn i have r290, r402a and r507a. R402a is colder then r507a by a couple degrees but is much more expensive (i payed 370$ for my jug :O ) and has much higher discharge pressures- for a 24/7 its a no-go.

When the gas is compressed it allows lots of heat to be removed, from the latent heat absorbed in evap. The DSH and condenser move that heat away, and get it to a saturated state (liquid/gas). It at a very high pressure, in the range of 150-250 psi gauge. It is forced into, in this case, a cap tube. the cape tube, in my case, is about 6-7' of .031" ID tube. When it hits the evap, the rapid change of SUPER high pressure, low volume changes into the low pressure, high volume cases rapid evaporation of the liquid. If you have taken chem you know those delta graphs for h2o, well HUGE amounts of heat are absorbed from whatever its cooling (in my case, the cpu). It is returned to the compressor.

thats just skimming the surface btw :p

oreon- nice! god i hated studying- in the us its a fairly easy test but a major PITA. I have not, makes swapping cap tube near impossible and if you accidentaly braze cap tube shut your done :p. i usually solder cap tube to the suction line and smother it with artic ceramic. at some point i will problably try it- but this being my first customer build, i want as few joints as possible to reduce the chance of leaks.

    Regards

    hello!

    sorry for a quick update.

There is the lineset. the mounting is complete, except i will surface the top of the mounting with a facemill.

one thing that was stressed was fit and finish. All joints will be cleaned to the best of my ability like so. thats 15% too :D

there is system as it stands. The tape is to keep the POE from getting ruined. The long tube coming from filter-drier is to help with trimming cap tube. It will probably end up much shorter by the time we are done. hopefully not, as that would mean not TOO much time spent tuning :)

Hopefully all is brazed except accumulator, which i still need. (anybody?)

    regards

Your work just keeps improving. I think a minor owning a cnc machine is illegal in 49 states, (Well, it SHOULD be! I'ts not fair.:p)

thanks mate! gecko is releasing their 540 series driver- 50vdc and up to 3.5a for steppers with optioisolation on each drive for 300$! i was planning on getting 3 g203v's for about 450$+ another 100 on a breakout board... So cnc will happen for sure :D with high quality ballscrews, but when is the question :D
Also- to our great dissapointment, there seems to be some sort of criteria for getting your complimentary cnc mill in the nederlands- i didn't get mine! i thought we both had agreed that everybody over there gets one as a coming of age :(

I oxygen/acetylene brazed the evap and lineset. no point in cleaning it until i leak test it. Ill try to get on that later today.

keep a lookout for updates :D

    regards

edit- ck- we posted at same time sorry. Thanks!

Your work amazes me, mostly because I only a basic idea how any of that type of cooling works. Always an interesting read, Teyber.

acting like it has a non-condensable in it... but i prefer people don't but in and say are you vacuuming? i am purging all lines and vacuuming to far under 200 microns........ this means not much capacity and very high discharge pressures
