It would seem not, especially as it was constructive criticism :wallbash:

Obviously didn't want them all the same like stated earlier... Very helpful / constructive thanks...

I thought other people might have wanted to try render it. Obviously for the amount of detail it would be silly to use the mobo for a build example....

Don"t see much detail in your stuff like no chamfers where there should be, just grooves instead of threads in pump (D5 x top) & fittings, o-ring is apart of fitting and not grouped seperate, ek logo on front is 1mm deep where its barely .5mm in real life, separate grouped patches to fill messy holes on internal of pump ... (but thats your preference not mine, i would say nice pump otherwise)

Ha,ha, I just knew that was coming, but I'm a big enough man to take it and admit that your right.

The reason's for the above imperfections is simple, my skills are just not at that level, or any where near your level of skill. I would love to draw more finely detailed models, more accurate, and I love to be able to get them smooth curved surfaces without patching messy holes, but I simple don't have the time to spare to learn.

When you posted your motherboard, I actually paid you a compliment and said nice work!

    You make this statement:

Yet you so easily dismiss the use of components, duplicating groups, thus increasing file size pointlessly, along with the knock on effects. I had a quick play about with your pump last night, turning some items into components and halved the file size, building it from the ground up using components would of made it substantially smaller.

Bottom line is cronicash your work looks fantastic (especially these renders of the pump), don't spoil it with a bad attitude.

That's the last I'm going to say on this subject, don't wish to waste any more time of mine or other forum members.

Whoa peeps please! No.1 I appreciated all who contribute with the good, the bad, and the ugly. you don't want to see my work cause that would fall into the ugly part. Now you can all flame me if you want, but I don't want to "loose" a single soul from here. As I suffer from TMI&CRS. And I've come so far here with so many of you. So here's my humble (ah FU haha) request. Don't stop modeling and posting here. Not because "I" ask bitche$..... means as much to others here who lurk as well. Now I'll play bad cop or whatever you want and give you a common enemy. If you make peace!

Just a quick something I got in the post the other day, a sata 4port backplane.

After receiving an email from MenthuRae, I have mirrored the otherwise excellent pump model (http://scc.jezmckean.com/item/493) by Cronicash and reuploaded it. I also had to remove the 'Swiftech' badge as it was overly detailed and my PC couldn't cope!

Cronicash has made it clear that he won't be modelling for the collection again.

I've been trying to plan my next build/loop to fit my CM Stacker 830 but I've never seen a proper SketchUp model of one before, so I decided to just make it myself.
If anyone else would find it useful I can submit it to the SCC once it's done.
    Work-in-Progress:

The actual case has a few rounded edges but I find curves a total pain to work with in Sketchup, as well as being almost impossible to modify (in any useful capacity) once they've been made; so I'm just approximating most of the curves in this case with hard angles and straight lines instead. Bearing that in mind, the dimensions are about as accurate as I can get and all surfaces have depth/thickness.
When it's finished I might go back and fix the curved surfaces, but for now I'm sticking with angles.

Hi, I created the SATA connector.
Is very easy for utilize it, just follow the method of Water Cooler.

But to put on your site, I attach a better explanation for most laymen.
    Thanks!

Awesome :jawdrop: I'm looking for it for a long time and I'm not able to create it. :(
    I would be grateful :thumb:

I am experiencing some random Sketchup problem I am having since starting to use this rig:

Everything closer to a certain distance is cut off. This is freaking annoying. I tried changing the fov angle, zoom extend and disabling hardware acceleration. First I thought this might be related to a driver problem, but neither up- nor downgrading helped. I am using an i5 760 + ATI HD 6870. Anyone got any idea what could be causing this?

i sometime have the same problem, switching to orthogonal view and back to perspective fixes the problem for me.

No idea what's causing it, Aterius but it started happening to me (with an unchanged system) about two or three months ago. I just press my magic "Fit" button and it sort's it out; which is the equivalent of zoom-extents so it could be we have the same problem for different reasons...

A bit more troubleshooting shows that Sketchup 8 might cause this problem. Just upgraded to Sketchup 8 on my laptop and I got the same problem when I create a new file. Yet when I open an existing Sketchup 7 file I do not have the problem, but it appears after some time.

Never heard of this problem ever before, but there are quite a few people complaining about this now appearently.

Really annoying if this is caused by Sketchup 8, especially since there has been absolutely no improvement in the free version at all, appart from some Google Earth features no one uses. Does anyone still have an install file for the English version of Sketchup 7? I only got the German version, and some of my plugins refuse to work with it.

Thank you! I cannot say for sure of course, but when I loaded up a few files in Sketchup 7 I always had problems with in Sketchup 8 they were fine. :)

I'd rep you, but for some reason the system won't allow me to.

oooooooh another 775.... not bad Vehement, not bad....! I did my one a while back when I first started on sketchup, I never checked the dimensions and it's not very realistic underneath, but I am getting better at sockets. I'm on the lookout for some tech drawings of LGA2011, want to do one of those next.

Regarding that cut-off-view problem, I've experienced that on and off for years. It seemed to crop up whenever I made a small model by shrinking it down from a larger one (because curves wouldn't draw properly on the small scale) . But then it would come right again. My LGA775 was always the most problematic for that. Aterius, I don't recall the 1366 doing it to me though.
