    Hi guys,

My current server needs some work doing and I'm thinking about a full rebuild. Ideally, I'd like to move it back out of the Fractal Define XL2 that currently sits in the spare room and back into the cupboard under the stairs. Out of sight, out of mind and all that. However, to fit on the shelf it would really have to be no bigger or heavier than the last time the server was in there. That case was a Supermicro SC731, which is a pretty standard midi tower case I think. However, it's really geared towards big ol' hard drives and it's only really got one fan so I think I'd appreciate something newer.

So, what's about that could go in that space please?

    • Small Micro ATX or Mini ITX case
    • As light as possible
    • Decent cooling
    • Lots of drive bays for 2.5" disks
    • Maybe one 3.5" for backup, but that's optional
    • Standard ATX power supply
    • Not bothered about looks
    • Cheaper the better

id go for the node 304 or even the bigger one the 804 i manged to get in more 3.5 hdds in there than it officially could. not season why you couldn't get in alot of 2.5 hdds and its got lots of air flow options to keep everything cool
