Stolen from another forum, but what smells do you really like? Mine would be: Freshly cut grass and wood Wet roads after a long dry spell 2 stroke engine fumes/oil and Castrol R Unsmoked rolling tobacco when it's still in the pack New car interior smell Fresh coffee grounds
Grass for me too, But my fav would be roofing tar, Oh and I love the smell of a cigar. I've got a sick one too but i'm not saying, you will all call me a freak (it's nothing sexual)
Hot asphalt. New car interior. The smell of new (or running) electronics. The smell of new books as you open them for the first time. Grass. Racing fuel.
Discharged lithium batteries All things flammable (petrol, meths etc.) Old El Paso spice mix And other more obvious ones.
That cold outdoorsy smell someone has on them when they've been working outside all day and just come inside.
Petrol Fresh-cut grass Race fuel Gunpowder New electronics Leather Old books Garlic+onion frying Burnt rubber Fresh bread Stir-fry Quite a few more, but those are the big guns. I have to say that I'm not a big fan of new car smell, although my biggest hate is those horrid air freshners that people drown their car in. Bleugh. Middle-aged cars have the best smells, mine smells great atm.
Petrol Frying anything in butter Curry (especially clothes the next day) New Magazines/ Any glossy paper Mixed Herbs Fishmonger's Butcher's
Coffee Salt air (I used to live mere miles from the beach, close enough to just hear, and spent every day I could there. When the kids are gone, we're going back, and doing the same.) Copper Old books and some others a bit personal to divulge
I love the smell of new electronics - is it the smell of the stuff they use to clean it with? Cooking bacon or baking bread are lovely smells. I hate cut grass, it makes me feel ill. Blech. Freshly cut wood is a lovely smell, too.
New electronics (who doesn't here?) Sawn wood Bonfires Wet roads Making fibreglass (or is that just the solvents ) plus other ones. Also, that summer evening smell....
on a warm day after a stretch of cold weather, the smell of the spruce trees thawing out. the air right after a spring rainfall coffee
Fresh laundry as it comes off the washing line The smell of the air as I get out of the car at home after being away. It's hard to describe, it smells almost sweet and clean.
+1 There are alot of fuel sniffers here, should i be worried. Mind you i like the smell of fuel at a petrol station.
