So yeah, I woke up on Sunday with a burning desire to get a DS, off to ********* I went with my buddy *annonymous* who can get an "amount" off products at said store.

To cut a long story short, instead of getting a DS for £60, I ended up with Gitaroo Man (PS2), Baton Kaitos (GC), Call of Cthulhu (Xbox) and wait for it... an Atari Jaguar (no games)! All for £51, a bargain? Or a bit retarded?

There is no real reason for this post other than to set myself up as the butt of a few jokes, I can take it, bring it!

Ps, can anyone recommend any games for the Jag, as it's just sitting there looking pretty (pretty ugly) at the mo. I'm thinkin AvP and maybe Doom (cos I've never played that before, oh no hang on!).

Tempest 2000 is supposed to be pretty much the pinacle of the Jaguar's powers.

I think the Jag aimed for the record of most buttons on a joypad. It was crazy and uncomfortable.

Get a Jag CD. Not many games on CD but I cant remeber wha tI had.

Get Brutal Sports Football for Jag Cart

I was thinking about it but then I went on ebay, £94 for PRIMAL RAGE :jawdrop: you remember Primal Rage right? That's the rubbish dinosaur beat em up, with the "unique" (think Rampage) ability to eat the small humans that run around.

Anyways I bought Doom for about £7, I think that's the most I have every paid for a copy of Doom, even the N64 version is only £5!

Also, I've just been reading up about the Jag and amazingly the actual processing power was only equivalent to 16bit!!! (Wiki) :hehe:

Kaitos IS excellent, it's mainly whether I can find time to play, all I seem to be doing is thrashing Gears at the mo, just finished Hardcore with DrWo and we're a third of the way through Insane (not that insane unfortunately :sigh: ).

I bought Call of Cthulhu because I'm in a bit of a Lovecraft mode at the mo, even getting some Cthulhu slippers for Crimbo!

Gitaroo Man was mainly an investment purchase, it'll be worth a load in a few years, and I refuse to pay Kula World prices then, when I can get it for a tenner now. :D

Wolfenstein 3D is/was available on the Jag too. Not as good as the original, but it includes a rocket launcher amongst other things. I bought a Jag just for it, but I've only played on the ugly thing twice.
