Anybody know when these will start becoming EOL, got a dual core fm1 in my media server downstairs but would like to update it to an fm1 quad before the CPU's start becoming hard to get hold of.
It's only been around a little over a year hasn't it? Wasn't it summertime 2011 or something it was released? I can't see it becoming "end of line" just yet, and I can't imagine it getting hard to source happening just yet either.

Theres always a fair few of these things on ebay. Personally I think the fact the socket lasted a single gen is a bit of a poor show.
It happens on either side of the fence. 1156 ring any bells? It must make some sort of logic to intel and amd to do such a fast one. Progression or some crap like that.
Il just keep my eye on the market and see if they start disappearing from stock. On a side note, credit for using that avatar I made you, man that feels like ages ago lol.
Yep, FM1 isnt being developed any more, so get them whilst they are hot I have a 3870k-BE.. Very pleased with it
