I just read about Bootlace, an iPhone and iPod Touch cydia app that installs android on your iDevice. Unfortunately, it only supports Iphone 2G, 3G & Ipod Touch 1G. How crazy is that?

    well thats really cool
    but its not linux
android is made by google, even though its open source
and you can get your own Android ROM OS to make an app and safely test it
    its not linux
in due time it will make its way to the other iDevices :D

It is pretty cool. I would disagree to say Android isn't linux, it is not linux as we know it but it is based on the linux kernel, albeit a modified one.

Pretty cool, but not entirely unexpected. What would be cool is having all the hardware working 100%. I used Android on an old Windows Mobile phone, but not all the hardware was fully supported.

Spot on. "Linux" simply refers to the kernel. An OS like Fedora or Ubuntu is a Linux distribution. Android is a little different, but it's still "Linux".
