Running Windows 10 Pro on a Gigabyte BRIX and an Intel NUC. I've setup a few shortcuts to Settings e.g. 'ms-settings:windowsupdate' but when I run the shortcut it always opens Internet Explorer 11 as well (IE11 has been set as the main browser rather than Edge).

There's nothing to change in the shortcut settings that would stop this, I can't see anything obvious in IE11 and googling doesn't come up with anything (but that could be me). Any ideas

It took me a while but the setting to change is Tools, Internet Options, Programs Tab, Choose how you open links and set 'Open in Internet Explorer' rather than 'Always in Internet Explorer on the desktop'. This stops IE opening with the shortcut.
