ya, you're sposed to use warm tapwater. and not if you live where it actually gets cold, only when you live in a relatively temperate area. a friend of the family made that mistake once. he was used to living here in south-west BC, where it rarely goes below 0, and never below -10, and he moved to calgary, ended up with a big sheet of ice on his windshield.
