Cases Space for Radiator in CM690 pure

Has anyone got a CM 690 Pure which they have added in a watercooling loop WITH OUT modding it?

Main thing im looking for is has anyone mounted a radiator anywhere into the case? If so, what size,what radiator and where was it mounted?

Im looking to get this case, but know my current alphacool 360 radiator wont fit. So do i
a) go back to air cooling (any recommendations?_
b) replace the radiator and keep the rest.

Im cooling a q6600 (no oc) so dont need masses of cooling good ness - the curent setup keeps the cpu abour 30 degrees C at idle in a warm room (about 21/22 degrees C)
Board is Gigabyte GA-EP45 UD3R if it makes any differnce!

I have CM690 II Advanced. It can accomodate 2 x 240 radiators. One at the top and other at the bottom. I think there is no major difference between 690 Pure and Advanced.

I think you might be able to fit a double rad in the top but it's difficult to tell from the photos whether a thick rad will fit in there with enough clearance for the motherboard. You should be able to add the 295 into the loop but may have to fit fast fans for decent cooling.

According to the specs http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6607 there looks to be 310mm available and the 295 is about 270mm in length.

 

Thanks for the link Fingers66, are the two cases the same? I can see that the port holes are in different places so am not sure if the roof cut outs are the same or different!

Is your case the original 690 or the 690 II?

That is indeed the original, you can get the cm 690 II lite for cheaper, that has room for a 120.2 rad in the roof and a 120.2 in the base.

There are also grommets so you can hang a rad off the rear.
