    Hi,

I'm trying to get a spark plug to produce a decent spark outside of a car engine.

I have the ignition coil, and am wondering how it should be wired. Is it as simple as 12V across it, or does it need to be pulsed? if so any ideas how this could be achieved please?

How much power does it require?

    Thanks for the help,

To produce a continuous arc, you need a DC square wave input.

There's a lot of circuits on the internet. Just google "ignition coil driver"

The power requirements depend on the current you intend to draw on the secondary side.
