123 (gps) stock 95 Honda civic EX muhahaha! loverly.
ive hit the govenor in my truck (99 Ford F-150 V8 5.4L) more times than i can remember (i belive its set around 110), took my ex-gf's infinity to about 120 on the 5 freeway going up to San Francisco.... had a cop pass us doing id guess atleast 130. The fastest i have ever been going in a car was in my friends 99 Eclipse... we were on a downhill straight away doing 135 at like 2 in the morning. His car was lowered so it scared the crap out of me.
110mph in a 200sx
Havent got my own car so 70mph on driving lessons haha
127 (indicated) in my old 2.0 Vauxhall Calibra is fastest with me at the wheel.
145 in a mate's company BMW 540
I would like to note that bit-tech doesn't condone speeding on public roads so I have removed the 'bit-tech' from the title. Speeding is illegal and gets people killed.
70mph on a 50 road. (on my own)
85 on a dual carriageway. (with dad, before he told me to slow down).
Haven't got round to getting on a d/c on my own yet (only passed test last week )
Nissan micra 1.0
120 on a CB500 with a pillion (kept the back wheel down nicely) on a motorway.
Got caught doing 70 in a 30 zone by a police car, who video'd me for a mile beforehand. I was let off with a mild scolding (not even issued a provider). As it was midnight, with little traffic and I wasn't being dangerous, just fast (it was dual carridgeway, just happened to be a 30 zone) I personally think it was an excellent use of police discretion. My mates think I was the luckiest git alive.
Up to 200 Km/hr
Just over 140mph speedo speed on my friends Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo Plus.
And 113mph GPS speed on my old 2.0cdi Cavalier *cough* banger *cough*
Nowadays I'm lucky to get 90mph on the shitty Ford Escort diesel
around 100mph in my 1.4 8v corsa when i first got it down a 2 mile strech of road near the. i had a full 45 liters of petrol in the car at the time tho so that didnt really help. i'd try again with less fuel/weight in but my trackings really bad at the mo and i dont feel like loosing controll at about 90 and putting my car into a ditch.
the fastest i've been recently is 50 in a 30 on the way home from work at 3am last nite, its just a shame theres so many corners on the way home.
125mph down the A5 in my pug 206 1.6XS
My god CM if you're driving that damn fast, hold the WHEEL!
Sorry, dude - gonna have to call ******** on this one.
Caterhams have all the airodynamic qualities of a block of flats - Even R500s and bike-engined beasties struggle to get above 140mph. To get 180mph out of one, you'd need well in excess of 700bhp (remember it takes vastly more bhp to push a car from 150-160mph than it does to push it from 140mph to 150mph.) Oh...And there isn't a 700bhp Caterham, 'race prepped' or otherwise
My dad went 117mph in france on the motorway in his VW Passat 1.9 TDI when we went on hols.
Fastest ive ever been was 124mph (on the clock) in my Micra on the motorway, took me bout 10 minutes to reach that with pedal fully down, probably comes out at about 115mph IRL though, thanks to **** speedometers (know its correct normally as got caught by police doing 42 in a 30 zone ) and my speedo read that then (yes know it goes out more the faster you go) Luckily I didn't get done, just got a little talking too, **** me up so bad, I probably became more of a danger on the roads driving at 30mph not concentrating as thinking about the policeman incident, than I was driving sensibally at 42 (1am in the morning)).
Nicely done If I ever see a flash of lightening (gold and black impreza) pass me on the motorway i'll know who it is
i just wish my speedo went that far
fastest ive ever been is 125 in my dad's old rover lol im only 15 so i hope to surpass this speed soon in a few years
lol, knew someone would say something along thoes lines
It was at a classic car show at an old air field, a large stretch of it was high speed rides in a caterham, and the guy said (no doubt trying to scare me) "we'll be doing upwards of 180mph, so hold onto something, not that there much to hold onto" shortly before letting rip
So, even if it was only 120mph, the psychology worked
....and here me thinking you were the co-pilot going down to the next meet what with you just living up the road 'n all
Anyway, what made you start the thread Leeum???
