News Steam adds FPS counter to beta client

    It's the little things that make it all worth while. I just deacvtivated fraps starting with windows, the one annoying thing with fraps was that it'd give you a frame rate (incorrect frame rate) when watching video's. So i'm just about to test out steams frame counter and see if it suffers the same problem.

    - Excellent my video's are frame rate free using steams frame counter !

    Not wanting to be negative, I am honestly curious:

    What's the point of an FPS overlay? Most people should use VSync nowadays so your framerate will be 120fps, 60fps, stuttery 30fps or unplayable? I mean the game either looks smooth to you or it doesn't.
