streaming tv to your pc

    whilst looking through ebay today i noticed someone selling software that allows you to stream tv channels from around the world to your pc, i googled this and found quite a few options availabe.
    has anyone tried this and is it worthwhile stuff or just a 1000 crap channels that nobodys watches in their respective countries.
