    Hello all,

    Have been building computers for some years and I like to think im pritty good at it but im sure im not the best. I am using a 960 i7 and am stuck at 4Ghz with a Corsair H80 cooler, further system details are below.

    Core i7 960 3.2Ghz @ 4.0Ghz 1.29V 200Blk x 20 Multiplier (Tiny raise of NB voltage(2 notches up))
    Corsair H80 Cooler
    12GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 2000Mhz @1603Mhz
    Asus Sabertooth X58
    2x 128GB Corsair Performance 3 SATA 3 (RAID 0) (Marvell Controller)
    6x 1500GB Seagate Baracude 7200.12 (RAID 5) (Intel ICH10R Controller)
    Creative X-Fi Ti PCIe Card
    XFX 6950 (BIOS Upgraded to 6970 Spec)
    Enermax 850W Modular PSU 85%
    LG BluRay Burner (SATA 1.5 via Add-in card)
    1x 40MM Fan direct attached to the NB via screw hole plus 1x Antec Spot Cooler pointed at NB
    1x80MM fan Blowing air in directly towards the NB and 1x 80MM blowing out. 1x 92MM fan blowing Air from Front directly towards GPU

    So this is my setup, Temp at idel are after 1 hour of doing nothing.

    CPU = 52
    MB = 53
    NB = 63

    @100% for 1 hour

    CPU = 86
    MB = 60
    NB = 82

    I left the computer running Prime95 x64 (with 11GB RAM used) running all night 10pm till 9am, and was perfectly stable. I cant get over the 4.0Ghz mark, really want to get to 4.2Ghz as it then a perfect 1Ghz overclock.

    I would even like to know how to get the RAM running at its higher settings but that doesn't happen as it only ends up at 2004Mhz and is instantly unstable at stock settings.... is it even worth trying to get it at 2000Mhz. I do use a RAM drive now and then,

    I look forward to hearing peoples advice and there experience with the i7 960
    Looking forward to some insight or a link to a place its been discussed.

    Peace Out

    Sylvester
