Nope it's been on pre order for 2 weeks or so with the due date unchanged. Due in next few days. Lots of performance for the money.

I just randomly had a look as I had no idea what that gfx card is. It literally had one in stock and then when I chcked an hour or so later it was out of stock.

Well in the end i plumped for the Asus R9 290 DirectCU II 4GB. I found one for £190 new with free next day delivery. Which worked out at £80 cheaper than the 970 I would have had to get to use my existing EK-FC670 Nickel waterblock.

So it kinda balances its self out as it will cost me around £70 for the new waterblock. now to decide wether I should go for 8GB 2400MHz Predator or 16GB 2400Mhz HyperX Savage hmmm.

Could you tell me where you bought it from as I just got one and the cheapest I could find was £229 on Amazon.

Can't see either card been launched before September. Nvidia has no reason to as long as the r9 390 continues its vapourware existence. The cards been rumoured since before the 980 launched and still continues to be rumoured.
