Grrr, why is it that most of the PC hardware manufacturers websites are practically inaccessable (sp) to the average user. The Asus website takes 17 attempts to load and even when it does, it takes a couple of hours to do so. Just though I would access the OCZ website to look at some new RAM. Looks like they don't want me to do that as everytime I hover over the tab I want it doesn't stay up for more than a couple of seconds. The DFI website is a crock of sh*t I hope this doesn't reflect on their boards.

This is small but often bugs me. I'm not an expert that can criticise but I know what makes me come back to a website over and over.

Speaking of the Asus Site, downloads at 3-5kbps is very poor for such a good company.
Not had any problems with OCZ's site though.

It's always been that way. For some reason, even though I select 'Canada' as my country, they seem to be redirecting me on Taïwan servers every single time

You know, for the amount of crap asus gets for their website you think they´d do something about it. Frankly when it came to chose a motherboard last time and my two choices were asus or abit and all else being same it was an easy choice to make. Do I want to download drivers or not? Yes, okay Abit it is.

Yeah, the ASUS website really annoys me too - always slow, wherever I access it from, except the 128Mbit connection at uni. Have the bit-tech crew ever tried mentioning it to ASUS people?

someone correct me if I am wrong but I think that selecting canada just make the site come up in english. and their servers are still in taiwan.

I've hated the ASUS site for quite some time myself.

Also, Realtek's site has terrible download times for me whenever I've tried to update its software.

is there any hardware manufacturer with a good website? i can't think of a single good experience. even if they are decently designed, they are all really slow.

edit: thought of one - nvidia's website is great.

Sparrow that web site is atrocious. the asus site is bad... I spent a half hour downloading some drivers to find out they were the wrong ones after following some of the directions on the site. it was bad.

OMFG what an eyesore. As a group, I think writers have the worst sites. Crude, fugly designs that look like they haven't been updated since 1994.

You'd think some of these Taiwanese manufacturers would have heard of Akamai?

Actually, Microsoft seems to have improved over the last years, and their site is pretty good now.

And ATI have gone down the drain since AMD started to mess up things.

    OMG! :duh:
