Hello bit-tech.net fans this is my entry for the Thermaltake Casemod Invitational 2017. I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the participants.

For this contest we will be modding the new Tower 900 from thermaltake.
as for theme and concept for this project. I will be doing a futuristic assault tank.

I would like to thank all the sponsors, Thermaltake Technology inc, Thermaltake e-sports, ASUS, Intel, Luxa2 and V-color for the wonderful support you've given to this event.

    Cheers!

started doing the work on the case today. it's easier to plan and conceptualize when you have everything disassembled. this also makes the case a lot lighter and easier to work with.

bought some supplies today. will be using this to support the inner inner structure of the case.

needs a bit of cleanup work.

i disassembled the mobo tray and added sliding rails and aluminum bars to add extra support.

additional work on the inner frame.

    more aluminum work. [IMG]
i'm 14mm stainless tubing as horizontal support bars. they will add more rigidity to the entire chassis.
also got some spare 240mm rads for test fitting. since the parts from thermaltake is still OTW.

I made some custom handles using 1x1/8" aluminum bars. I imagined this build will be quite heavy when finished because it's already a bit on the heavy side even without the parts and watercooling stuffs installed.[IMG]

some watercooling stuffs arrived today. thanks thermaltake!

also made some shelves. this will make it a lot easier to organize stuff as I go along with the build.

    More parts for the build.
I tried using the two remaining chassis post's that I removed from the case and tried using it as a custom mount for the cannons.

Also installed some hydraulic hinges to support the entire structure.

    working on the RAM's.
the color of the ram I got was a bit off for the theme. so I did some quick modding so that it matches the mobo and gpu.

first step was to remove the stock shrouds.

then I made a template to match the painted cutouts for the led lighting.

off it goes to the plotter for some vinyl cutting.

here's how it looks after painting.

    installed!
