    I'm after some feedback guys,
I have to use www.tele2.co.uk for my broadband - No NTL and BT botched the exchange (TPon-tech - shared fiber).
The package is unlimited-512 for 39+vat pcm.
    Pros -
    1) Fixed-IP
    2) Ethernet connection
    3) Easynews feed (capped at 40K but no censorship + 10day retention).
    Cons -
    1) laggy - pings vary from 20 - 600, mostly 60-160.
    2) Sloooow I cannot get it to run quicker than 45K/s mostly low 30's
    3) Silly square dish on a big pole outside your house - must have line of sight.

After 3-months of complaints I have found out that
"The at home package is a 64k bursting to up to 512k service and that 30k is considered good for home users".

Have I any comeback - Is anyone using them and getting better - Is fixed IP and the newsgroups a good reason to stich with it as my only other option is home slow-way.

If the service is sold as a 512k/s one then surely it actually being a 60K/s (average) one is false advertising?

Also, as a satellite based system, gaming latency will be poor as it has to go into space and back, and the distances involed in that mean u will always get high pings :(
