Films Terminator 4

Read about Terminator 4 a while ago..

Christian Bale is playing John Connor... Everything pointing toward Arnie not being in it.

 

If you want to talk about T4 fine but why post youtube videos to announcements made over 18 months ago and a very very crap fake trailer?

 

Because they kinda talk about it. So We start with some thing to talk about. Not from zero. And for those who didn't saw them, They can.

 

It's gonna be rubbish. T3 was absolute cack. The TV series is absolute cack. This will be absolute cack.

Although I really rate Christian Bale.

 

Christian Bale should make a good John Conner, hopefully the film will end up alright. OF course, they'd have to work quite hard to make it worse than T3. Isn't it supposed to be the beginning of a new trilogy?

 

I reckon it'll be alright... shame if there's no Arnie though...

 

It is shaping up to be decent, the first real trailer will be airing with The Dark Knight.

 

The Dark Knight, OH OH OH YEAH can't wait to see this movie. IT rocks. Action and kickass graphics and machines

 

Yeah, the idea is to move the story away from the Connors and on to new characters they will be introducing in this upcoming one to set the grounds for the new trilogy. If my brain is working correctly, I believe principal is set to wrap in August. We have a little while to go. Helena Bonham Carter, though? Odd. Although she is hot.

 

When will we have massive Terminator battles already!? That's all I've wanted ever since T2 came out.

Hopefully T4 won't be crap. Christian Bale is a nice addition, he's top notch.

 

Ironic really that the very next day the official teaser trailer is released...

If any actor can step into a role and save a dying franchise - its christian bale! Although I really think Christopher Nolan and his crew should take the helm and shape it in his direction - he did wonders for batman!

Remeber the previous batman films? they had become something of a joke, batman wasnt even feared, he was a mockery with the stupid suits, stupid actors, stupid storylines and gimmicks - better batman suit, better car, more women seemed to be the formula they followed.

He made Batman a serious superhero; correction - A serious Hero, human yet caperble in a realistic way which is what he was always meant to have been about.

I hope something comes of this because this Terminator franchise is becoming a bit of a joke.

 

QFT. The films reached their logical conclusion with T2 (viewing tip: see it as if it was a road movie). Hollywood never knows when to stop.

Re the Batman films becoming a joke, I think the main problem there was that Joel Schumacher was waaay to fond of homo-erotic imagery in his version of the films and the films ended up as a real joke.
You can usually rely on Christian Bale to bring a certain level of intensity to a role so I can see him as a very good John Conner but there is only so much he can do. A classic example of this for me is Reign of Fire, yes there were some great moments in the film but I was left with the feeling that the film that you really wanted to see was the prequel or that it was the sequel to the real film. Plus I would just like to say that I think Reign of Fire had one of the biggest con job posters ever, it showed helicopter gunships taking on dragons over London in flames - what you got was one Bell 209 passenger chopper in the entire film and I don't remember it ever showing over London.

 

I stand corrected. This looks like pure awesomeness.

Hmmn, I tend to think of movie stills in the same light as game stills, sure it can look fantastic as an image (which this one certainly does) but its all for nothing if it doesn't hang together. I am hopefull for this and I will be there on the opening day, having Christian Bale on board does give me hope as even in a poor film he is still worth watching.

By the way there are two snippits I have heard, one is that there is alledgedly an 800 foot T800 in this film ( I have my doubts abut this one), the other is that Arnie won't appear but they have someone who looks like him in place - this guy, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0452199/.

 

I agree with the mention of the shame that there is no governator, but hopefully whoever plays the terminator will kick as much @#%. Although, I do have amazing respect for Christian Bale and cannot wait to see him play John Connor. Some might hate me for this, but i always thought the terminators were a bit cheesy, save t3, which was a lot worse.
