I am about to make a radiator purchase and was wondering what everyones opinion was between the Airplex EVO triple and the Black Ice Extreme III?
Also if you have any other favorite radiators that come in a triple please yell.

    Thanks for your time!

    No one has any input?
    Any is appreciated.
If you want just state what your favorite is even if it isn't one of the 2.

Depends what the rest of the parts in your watercooling loop are. The general rule is that black ice radiators are better suited for large bore American style systems while the Aqua Computer radiators are best suited for the small bore German style systems.

The black ice will be good for either type, provided you get one with just threads for fittings and add appropriate ones (well, moreso for the German types, as barbs are easy enough to handle), but the Airplex series is really only good for German types as it'll be very restrictive for an American setup. However as there's so much tubing in the Airplexes, you have natrual convection working in your favor as well, not just the fins of the radiator.

Try for the Black Ice Pro 3 if you're into silence. The Pro can get good performance with lower CFM fans than the BIX, due to the thickness of the rads.

So if I plan on running the fans at a low speed the pro is better than the extreme? or did you just mean to say the extreme?

In a comparison of a large range of radiators on a German website, the Black Ice Xtreme III came out slightly ahead of the Airplex EVO III and its Innovatek brother.

Thanks alot for that info, guess that was really the answer I was looking for.
Although the quality of the EVO does look a little more "well engineered".

To be honest, in practice I really thinks it makes very little difference. Just go with what feels good. :hip:
