    Why does the air that my case fans blow feel cold when I put my hand behind the fan, what's the science behind it? :worried:

    It blows the sweat off your hand and removes the warm layer of air you've got trapped between the hairs and your skin, making you feel cold.

    I believe that is everything. Probably safe for a mod to lock now...

    I have another PC related question, how much bandwidth does a PCIE slot running X4 provide, and the number for X8 x16 and 2.0, secondly how much of this bandwidth do gfx cards use, say 8800GT, GTX, 280, 4850 /70? :p

    And a none PC one - when a girl who you fancy tells you she has a boyfriend, how do you respond?

    I've tried, was looking for a nice table but I can't find anything :p

    and as for killing him, I meant more in a verbal responce to her in the seconds after she tells you she has a BF.

    So what if she does? If that's her only reason for not going on a date, then just go as friends, don't worry about her "bf" (chances are sometimes it's not actually true).
    Be yourself, if you're ultimately more interesting and a better "catch" so to speak, she'll favor you. ;)

    Say in a mysterious voice: "Not for lo-ong!" (note the two-tone in "long"). Then run off and kill him. You should probably hide the body.
    :p

    I second badders. Murder is the only option.

    Or as a backup: "Oh. Cool"

    Unlike preceding PC expansion interface standards, PCIe is a point-to-point "bus". This type of connection removes the need for "arbitrating" the bus or waiting for the bus to free. This means that while standard PCI-X (133 MHz 64 bit) and PCIe x4 have roughly the same data transfer rate, PCIe x4 will give better performance if multiple device pairs are communicating simultaneously or if communication within a single device pair is bidirectional.

    Two PCIe devices are connected by a link, and each link is made up of one or more lanes. Each lane consists of two low-voltage, differential signal pairs carrying 2.5 Gbps of traffic in opposite directions. One pair is used for transmitting, and the other pair is used for receiving. To further increase the bandwidth of a link, multiple lanes can be placed in parallel (x1, x2, x4, x8, x12, x16, or x32 lanes) between two PCIe devices to aggregate the bandwidth of each individual lane. In the future, the signaling rate of the link can be increased to provide even more bandwidth.

    Lane = 2.5
    PCIE x4 = 4 lanes = 2.5 x 4 =10Gbps
    x8 = 20
    x16 = 40

    Is this right, if so how much of this do gfx cards use?

    Verbal you say? I'm not sure about that.

    Show her your willy. If she calls the police (or her boyfriend) it wasn't meant to be.
