Thoughts? I loved it, v.funny throughout and was great to see all the characters again, feels like years since the last series! Remember to use spoiler tags if needed!
Absolutely brilliant, want to see it again already... Spoiler Fave bit was probably when Geoff went back to the 17th century George of Asda!
Hahaha saw it yesterday, class film, a little bit random but still good... 'I've made you fishcakes!' Heh, wont finish the line and spoil it Shame Papa Lazerus and Edward/Tubs didn't place a greater part but I guess there only one liner characters really...Great story idea! - M@
It was crap, I'm extremely disoppointed. They had ages to write it, loads of famous comedians, access to some famous actors, the whole tirade of well established hiarious characters to use, a comparativley huge budget, special effects access and then made this. Piss off back to where you came and try again guys.
I thought it was briliant! Hey Acrim, don't get too cheesed off, it was in keeping with the series and it was a good story, so there
Err, did you actually watch the TV series, its low brow toilet humour, the film was perfect for what a TV to movie film should be, special effects would have of completly ruined it, the famous comedians are only supposed to make a tiny cameo, if you've seen Shaun of the dead, they did exactly the same thing, peter kay and the guy from the League of Gentlemen just passing them by (in someones back garden) and saying one line... They decided to use the little known characters as they could develop on there background as people didn't know much about them, wheras Papa Lazerus and Tubs/Edward wouldn't have of been that good as there really one joke/one liner characters.. - M@
Er, no it isn't. The League of Gentlemen was always dark humour and most of it was quite clever so I hardly think that it can be classed as low brow.
yeah egreed, dark humour with an element of wit and the film wasn't as good asi expected but it was still a good watch tbh. Ice
Whoops...I guess im not with the genre relating times... By toilet humour I meant crude one liners (brown fish etc) It still is cracking the same old 'toilet humour' jokes, but giving them a clever thought out twist.. Low brow - meh I put this in randomly without knowing the meaning of it Yes its indeed witty in parts, certinally clever often and sometimes even satirical...(sp) sorry for the misunderstandings- - M@
