This project is inspired by Norse mythology, and more specifically, Mjollnir, Thor’s hammer. I’ve put in a window, with black molding trim, tinted the window, and made an inner window that has an etch of a symbolic Mjollnir, which is lit by two sound sensitive blue neons on either side of it. I’ve stealthed my DVD and CD burner, cleaned up the wiring with black split loom, and have rounded IDE cables from Bigfoot Computers My pictures are a little skimpy at this point, as I haven’t yet gotten the more recent pictures developed, that’s right, old skool style photo and scan This is about half done, note the flat floppy cable is now a rounded one as well. Since the pictures are rather large I’ll link to them to help save the dial up people’s modems from exploding: The fan wiring cleaned up a bit The power supply nice and clean too the side panel with a nice window The inner window with the etch cut out Check out the uber sexy l33t castors! The panel masked up and just been cut I will hopefully have some more pictures soon, I should note that the etch in the Lucite was done by routering the straight bits, then filing the ends and intersection for EIGHT BLOODY HOURS. Never doing that again. Don’t worry, I have a Dremel now What I’m working on next is a control panel for the 3.5 bay area to make a nice cover for the floppy, and to control the lighting from. Also I will be lighting the mobo and bits attached to it with green that will be hooked up so that it is HDD sensitive. Enjoy the pics.
Thanks for the feedback, glad to stir the modding virus back into action I know a couple nights ago (hello insomnia, we've met before right?) I got bored and compulsive and chopped up my clock and put some LEDs in it, tis interesting, the body is all silvery and aluminum, with the blue and green lighting it's like my case's little sister.
