TV Shows The Walking Dead - UK PACE

I am lead to believe that many of you like Zombie flicks. This should be right up your street (you know, the one packed with hordes of shambling decomposing bodies thirsting for human flesh) :

Looks pretty cool - and I'm not a big fan of the Zombie Apocalypse genre.

 

i just saw the name "Frank Darabont" and I was sold.

 

Mmm, more zombie related entertainment.

 

This thread reminds me of this tread, which delivered copious amounts of awesome.

 

I forgot to remind everyone to watch this on FXHD, Friday Night. But for those of you who already had it in the planner to record - How awesome was the first episode?

The SFX are great - on a par with a blockbuster movie IMHO. Everything was top notch - acting, setting, casting. Brilliant.

The best bit was at the end, when Rick was trapped in the tank & the pack of zombies where chowing down on his horse and trying to get into the tank. The Radio message was priceless, as was the look on his face.

The only thing that was a bit of an oddity to me (but understandable to make for an exciting end to the episode) was this: Rick's a trained Police officer, right? So why didn't he question the fact that all the cars where on the other side of the Highway, all pointing away from Atlanta?

Can't wait for the next episode.

Same reason he didn't go back the way he came when he was confronted with the larger horde, and the same reason he let the bag full of shotguns fall down his back when he started riding the horse. Also the same reason he took many shotguns, rather than more ammo.

Zombies make people stupid. Somehow.

I enjoyed it. I think the fact that Kirkman is heavily involved should leave it fairly faithful to the original material.

 

My god, that was awesome. I particularly loved the part when

he rounded a corner and the street was packed with zombies

, a real, woah! moment. And the part under the tank,

had me on the edge of my seat. You just knew the

zombie in the tank was going to strike up cheery conversation, it was just a question of when!

Absolutely brilliant. I can't wait for the next episode.

 

I've been waiting for this for a good few months now and resisted the urge to torrent it before the screening on FX HD.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. I love the comics and this first episode seems to have been created with the source material held firmly to it's bosom.

Lennie James as Morgan Jones stole it for me though.

+1 for not being able to wait for the next episode.

 

Currently awaiting the next graphic novel in the WD series. Will have to find a way to watch the series...

 

ooh, on FX HD and with subtitles too, and only 5 days behind USA. Might as well stop downloading the SD rip with dodgy subtitles

 

Wasn't sure if it'd be any good, but I really enjoyed the first episode.

 

just watched the second ep, my god the tension was palpable.

i ****ing love it!

 

For those that haven't seen it yet (me included - I meant to record it but totally forgot), it looks as though FX are showing it on several evening this week. Next time (according to the online Sky Guide) is tomorrow (Weds) at 11pm.
