Hey, I've been modding for a year (light modding) and i got my new case last week, I've done a bit of modding but its not finished, i want to carry on the the kind of Bio green theme on the inside but i cant think of what to paint or put on the outside of the case - i cant exactly put lightning or fire can i so any ideas would be helpful hers a few pics of it now http://img41.exs.cx/img41/1838/b17.jpg http://img3.exs.cx/img3/1822/in.jpg
Another UV cathode or two (I recommend ebuyer's for the value) and it should look wikid . Welcome to the forums!
I actually ment on the outside lol, although i do need 2 more cold cathodes and yes ebuyer IS THE BEST PLACE ive been going there for many a year
I would definitely do something about the texture of the case, to me plain black just seems so boring, add an interesting finish would really make the case stand out more. There´s great inspiration out there, just take a look at piloux Blackmesa HL2 mod. It serves as great inspiration even if it´s kinda out of at least my league. One I idea for you could use would be to do what´s done on the chemical overdose mod. On the top of the case he added a piece of plexi and metal with a green led glued to the plexi. IMO it looked really great and it´s not a really hard mod to accomplish. If you haven´t checked it out, just search for it.. It´s ******* fantastic! Good Luck!
Thanks for all your help - I looked at the hl2 one and was amazed although i dont expect mine to be anywhere as near good . i would like to go a kind of Bio-reactor way, i'm thinking of a few designs atm but should i use a gloss or somthing else to finish it to stop the paint getting scrapped of - i would like to have it done for i21 (lan party) at the end of august heres hoping
If you´re going in the Bio-reactor direction you absolutely must check out the chemical overdose-project. It´s full of original idéas and there are probably many things that could inspire you to make your case even more outstanding. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=57869&highlight=chemical Just check it out, it rocks!
is there some way you could make it look like there is a glowing green goo flowing out of all the seals and cracks? maybe paint a big crack on the mobo side and have the goo flow out of there? Looks good So far
After this post I´m gonna stop talking about the chemical overdose-project.. hehe But hey Brandon_Bep you should check out the "glowing green goo flowing out of all the seals and cracks" on that project.. it looks really cool! No more chemical from me!
