BMWs never really did too much for me to be honest. Some of them look alright, and there's no denying BMW do some great R&D to add nifty features, but personally I'd take a Jag any day.

I'm with Cabe and the E39 M5, thoguh the new ones aren't too shabby either. Not sure on the 1 series though. I'm an Audi fan myself, but i wouldn't turn one down!

Agree. To bad there is just Idiots driving them. BMW drivers tend to be rude, inconsiderate people with their own head so far up their own ass they can't see where they are driving half the time. (And the other half they think they own the damn road.)

Today I saw tis punk in a pretty new BMW (guessing 07-08) racing into a parking lot and just parked at a handicap space. And I can assure you, there was nothing wrong with either of the two in the car (and the car didn't have these notes that says they could park at a handicap space). This isn't the first time I have seen it, and it have been BWMs every time I have seen it.

I know that not all BMW drivers do this, but a lot of them do. <Insert fitting example of generalization here> . If you don't like my opinion, just don't read this post. OOPS! Too late! :p

Between a lot of BMW drivers and Mercedes drivers, I agree. There is no shortage of rude drivers, no matter the vehicle they actually drive.

Most bmw's are beautiful, m5's and m3's are awesome! I think the older m5's looked a little better than the old m3's, but the new m3's are infront in looks now. The only thing i don't like with most of them is the console of the interiors - definitely not the same design department there unfortunately :waah: For me, the interior is just as important as the exterior, as this is the part you will see at least as often! There's way to many cars out there with ugly square interiors, show me some curves ffs :grr:

I much prefer the style of a modern mercedes interior, such as the latest shape sl500 - many mercs have this same basic shape aswell

I don't like the 1 series nose - it's too tall for too long, and then abruptly stops, almost like it just rear ended somebody. The rest of the body is nice, but i'd feel like i was a kid driving mum's shopping car. I think similar about the wrx's, they don't look like a sleek sports car, they look too much like mum's shopping car with a sportskit. I hate it when companies keep on releasing stuff like bloody nissan pulsar sss :grr: The 350z & ALL the skylines also have the problem of not being sleek enough, they are just way too damn tall. Sports cars are supposed to be sleek & low, i'm talking about shapes like the z4, m6, sl55, s2000, 200sx, mr2, any ferrari, etc

Nothing wrong with tall sports cars such as 4 door skylines and m5's, but i wish people would class them as sports saloons, which is what they are. I don't know what to call wrx & skyline coupes, but it's a shame they get the same name as the true sports cars, if you know what i mean :waah:

    /end rant :D

    Love it :)
The E46 body is just brilliant, looks so sexy and powerful whereas the new E92 looks like its gained a few pounds from eating too much junk.

Granted the E92 has a performance increase but, given the option, I'd take an E46 over an E92 every day, in the same way I'd take an E39 over an E60 every single time.

Saying that, I actually think the new 7 series BMW's look pretty swish.

Another older Beemer I love is the 850, they don't even make the 8 series anymore but I've read rumours that it may be making a comeback, seen a few concept models.

Older cars have always struck me as feeling more alive. As soon as I can scrounge up some cash, I'll be looking for one of these.

That said, I prefer the looks of the E46 to any other M3...And to almost any other car.

Cabe64 I LOVE those 8 series, there was one for sale locally recently but it was pitched around £13k which was far too much for me.
Gonna have a look for some of those new concept shots you've talked of though.

You gotta admit, the current 3 series saloon is pretty damn ugly.

@CK: They stopped production of the 8 series in 1999 but you can still find them in good nick off the likes of Ad Trader and eBay. Expect to pay upwards of 5-6k GPB for an older model and 10-12k GPB or so for one of the later models.

@BioSniper: The concept is known as the BMW CS Concept.

It does look DAMN sexy but I'd take the 850ci I posted previously over it. I just love older BMW's :)

@Brett89: Damn right, easily the best looking 7 series BMW produced, the new ones arn't half bad compared with the new 5 & 3 series'
