hi guys, i am really looking forward to getting some color on this soon.
am pretty much finished with the exterior and will now start integrating hardware, finding its places etc.. making some parts for the interior.
    then its breakdown time.
    anyway.
i made a little hanging sign like from old weathered wood for the monitor front.
apart from that i started the last fittings, here in wood, later iron of course.

i made the drawer which will contain the keyboard in the base
with a iron ball snap in fitting and handle to keep it in

oops i forgot this little update before the breakdown, here it is.

i made some pulleys and winches for the front tackle holders which you will later see wehn its front is mounted.

i also made a little badge type of sign for the back with skull n crossbones.

apart from that i also made a banister set for the top skull so that it has soome protection, a bit like a ships banister rail

seeing as iwas about to start the interior i dismantled the garfikcard fan system and mounted the water blocks.

so hi guys, forst thanks to you all for your very motivating comments. here is the result of todays modding session.

i carroed on with the interior and i think it should be finished by sunday evening. its a lot of little thingamadjigs and whatchamacallits in pirate style till its done.

    anyway here are the pics.

first i made the mid section between the fans and psu. it will hold 6 petg push compressions and will be screwed permannent with the case, it also covers the psu wires too.

yes, even the grafik cards will have certain deck planking too.

wires dont really fit in well in this theme, so this deck planking cover will hide them.

then i thought if the aluminium plate which is holding the 6 petgcompressions is fixed permanently and i want to get behing the connections for some reason on any given day, then i would have to do that from the back, so i changed the plan and made a second plate which is screwed onto the fixed one. this was i can remove the whole block now.

like i said, i dont want wires visible, so i made a stern parapet as cover for the grafik card power supplying cables,
    [IMG]
i cut out some windows for better air flow.

i then made a psu mainboard cord cover which is dismantalabe.
i made a deck ladder looking cover, it is dismountable too.[IMG]

thanks mate. yes indeed, i love details, and more over i love making every little detail myself.

lasered, cnc and 3d printed stuff, whether made myself or ordered from a 3rd party is a nogo for me, its pity that their is so much of that going on.
it doesnt show what one is really capable of, but what one can make a machine do in automation, or have a machine do.
anyway that seems to be the way things are going and the trend now. all the more reason for me to yet again stress the fact that everything i make is made only by me, without any automatic tools at all. 100% good old hand made man made stuff.

yes guys, now color will slowly lightne things up. dont have much time now to get this finished so its nonstop modding for me now.
here is the first stain in brown, which will more or les be sanded off now.
i also made a ssd quick dock station in pirate ship deck plank style to match the theme.
i will be in the workshop in an hour till open end and try to get as much priming, sanding and repainting donas as possible today.

here are some more pics, its still just the primer stains brown, red and then black though, will still change a lot. tomorrow some of this color will be sanded off again to reveal some of the wood and give it a used worn weather beaten look.

for staining I am using printer ink in my airbrush.

so here is a little update, well actually 5 coats of sanding, staining, paining glazing etc.. just less pics.

this skull was meant for an aquarium, now i need to make it look a bit grimmer and meaner.
here are some before and after pics.
i used furniture smart remait wax and sawa dust to better the eyes.
    <a href="http://s1307.photobucket.com/user/abbas-it/media/Piracy%20and%20Prophecy/19%201rst%20glaze%20and%20skull%20glazed/PICT5934_zpsy0a22ust.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1307.photobucket.com/albums/s592/abbas-it/Piracy%20and%20Prophecy/19%201rst%20glaze%20and%20skull%20glazed/PICT5934_zpsy0a22ust.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo PICT5934_zpsy0a22ust.jpg"/></a>
    [IMG]

i amusing printer ink to stain in my ait brush for everything where the wood grain should show through. organic is the word.

one of the gun whale canons will open the dvd drive so i laid a bypass wire for the switch.

i touched up the skull with solver after painting it black.

i did the same by fingering the canons too, make em look a bit more worn metalic looking.

i did the same silver touch up look on the little shield skulls too.

    more tomorrow

have taken the day and weekend off to finish as much as possible.

so first the main chassis holder has made it upstairs for the final glaze, its sunny today thanks god.
i cut a new bottle with the dremel, the last one had scratches.
the front banner, is now metalic and the swords are mounted.

i dipped these eva foam letters in a wood glue dilution to primer them before painting.
so, the bottles are fixed and waiting to be filled with rum,,,:D
    [IMG]

and here is another little update, seeing as i am wiring the parts while fixing them, it looks as if nothing is really happening in the pics, but it still took all day.

this is the reservoir array which is fixed in one piece behind the bottles.

i am oonly using berstein golden leds in this one to match the rum coolant.
after painting the letters silver, i dabbed the brown and black in to give it a little older look.

Its been a nightmare on lack of sleep and red bull infusions directly in my viens to get this one finished in time.
have more or less stuck everything together and tomorrow i will start bedning some pipes and getting the water cooling working. but before i do, i must stick and screw all the little fittings and decorations i made too. the chromme works is still not done and the studs as well as the bottle RUM labels too.
well, sems its gonna be a busy last two days. :)

so, the case is now upstairs out of the dusty workshop for wiring it up.

this is the controller fo the fans, i did the same bypassing wire laying for the led controller too. they will all be controlled via the gun whale canons.

here i am touching if the frome anchor. the anchor itself will be metalic looking just like the skull and the bones needed some dirtying up.

i then blackened the edges of the wings and silvered the tip in metalic look too.
it needed a glossy clear coat though to bring the colors to life.

before i stick on the fittings and studs i wamted to finger in the silver paint where needed to give the egdes of the wooden iron straps and so forth a used look.
was basically a lot of painstaking finger work.

the cananons are metaliced too. and fitted for switching now.

so, still quite a bit to do. motorising the montor too. and all the above mentioned stuff. the deadline will be tough. more tomorrow

hi guys and thanks to all. sorry for not posting in the last few days. I have been working my back off getting case finished. here are some last progress pics. the final pics will follow tonight after i have cleaned up and the coolant rum is filled.

well anyway. lets get back to modding. here are the last worklog pics, the finals follow tonight, if we have some sun today so i can make better ones.

first of all i printed various stickers from internet to patch together my rum bottle logos. u eventually used PIRATE wind with ROYAL OAK, snipped togather as rum stickers.

i wired up the canons ready ofr battle..
i built in a kick pulse relais for canon number two.
canon number one is the dvd ejct, two the skulls leds on off switch. but to cut the circuit i only have and smd canon driven switch so i needed a kick relais. the other circuitry is a led effect controller for the skulls so the flicker and so forth.
the last three canon switches are for the Thermaltake led strips controls
    [IMG]

aye, thats wee bonny eye lights, arnt they me lad. how bonny ye are... johoho.

this and other letters are on the screen which elevates and can be concealed.
when closed you can see the whole writing, otherwise just my name because the sign swings with it.
by the way, these letter are laser cut from a shop. they can simply not be made by hand that small, ahaaaaaaaaaa!!!! automatiotive advantages aginst art. or what....

thes skull studs are ususally for clipping onto belts. i snipped ioff the teeth and used just the skulls as fitting end studs.

    20wiring%20n%20build%20up%20till%20h%20tubes1/PICT6057_zpsjorawvxl.jpg

late in the night i strated finally with the pipe bending.

i realised then that i lack some fittings and had to change the schematic
    [IMG]

final pics comins soon, hopefully tonight......

    Hello Modding Community, hello world.
Here are the final pictures for my PIRACY AND PROPHECY casemod based upon the TT Core P5.
Am sorry for the day of delay, but I have really been working my a... off trying to finish this to my satisfaction. If I dont like it then I cannot expect anyone else too right. I had a little issue with one of the pumps which is not working properly but it is working so I can now post the finals.
So if you like it then please dont forget to vote for Ali Abbas/Germany.

The concept and idea behind the design:
My idea was, what would a Pirate of the 14th, 15th or 16th century like his computer to look like if he would be catapaulted into this present day and age of today.
Of course he would be more than excited to see this great stuff we now have and he would want to show and flaunt it like I hopefully have. But while those pirates were certainly only human too, they would probably want it to look a little like they world they left behind.
Thats what I had in mind when I gave it the name "Piracy And Prophecy".
If that same pirate would somehow manage to return to his time period and then tell them all about the future and his favourit toy there, then they would imagine it according to his tellings, but in an array of picture matching their own time period.
And thats what this whole case is about. The time travelling pirate`s prophecy.
Yes, of course its all far fetched and science fiction, but remember what Einstein said.
Fantasy is stronger than science, because fantasy has no limits.
So, thats enough of all that crazy stuff going on in my mind, now I will let the pictures talk for themselves. In the end there is a small video explaining some of the features too. The video quality seemed to be better before I uploaded it to youtube. But the pictures seem to have come out good.
I hope you all like it. good luck to all my fellow modders with theri cases too and thanks in advance to everyone who votes for my sick idea. :)
    Ali Abbas

once again, no automative tools at all were used, just good old handicraft.

I believed I had seen some pretty nice stuff before.

Usually I can write a novel about awesome something is.

But I am COMPLETELY speechless! I found no words to describe the beauty, the perfection, quality and the charisma for this, OMFG!!!!!!!!

May I ask you, Sir, what are you working with in real life? Because the skills you have presented to us, and the true piece of art and the wood-work is almost unbelievable, completely unbelievable!

I know you might be a famous person/modder and people usually honor your builds. But I really mean it, this is the best, and the most beautiful thing I ever seen! Makes my computer look like a real trashcan...

Hope you get time to enjoy your new master piece as well as I wish you and your family good luck with everything the life has to offer :)

@ sixfootsideburns: thanks and yes i will try to sleep a bit, but on the other hand, after the mod is before the mod and i must finish my scratch build called ARMAGEDDON too for the german casemod championship in august. :)

wow eucalyptus, that was one of the nicest answers i ever got, thank you very much, i really appreciate your remarks and that you seem to really like my work. first of all, your english is great so dont worry about that at all. you asked what i work in real life. well i am self emploxed in the computer services sector setting up networks and so forth. actually very boring stuff, pc maintenance and staring at software and anlysing reports and such stale horrible stuff.
i am and have always been an artist though, i sing in a band, am a poetry slammer, and have always as far as i can rmember been building, creating and solving technical problems.
i am british but been living in germany since 1989. i built my first not very nice looking casemod in the 90s. its was the german casemod championship that really set me off though where i took part in in 2010 for the first time. the rest is history.:)
here is a link. if you are interested, it offers an overview of where everything started.
sweden is not that far:) if you have the chance, do come to the gamescom in august and visit the DCMM, germa casemod championship. you should see me and this case there. we could meet and greet. i will be there with more than one machine for as the reigning champ in 4 categories, i have to try to defend my titles, :)
here is a link with a short summary:
i jus saw your work, you are only eighteen, well done, it will constantly improve as well, if you only stick to it and always believe in yourself. take the possiblities you have, always bearing in mind that they are by chance there, not taken for granted. most youngsters on the planet do not have the possibilities of few to attain their life. who knwos how many einsteins and newtons are killed before they have reached the status of adulthood. so believe in your portential and be dilligent. do not waver towards following lines, but drawing them yourself.
so enough preaching now, here is the link. thanks again for your very nice post.
unfortunately most of the tv intervies etc.. are in german, here is some info in english though.
