I'm going to be going up to Edinburgh/Dundee for a couple of days next month, and im just wondering if any of you know some good things to do there? I'm going to be in the center of Edinburgh i believe so stuff within walking distance is preferable.

    thanks in advance!

if you are there on a friday night i hear the improverts are always worth seeing (at bedlam theatre). Most of the stuff up here is arty stuff though which is a bit pants imo.

He said Edinburgh, not Glasgow :)

    There's the usual stuff.
    Edinburgh Castle
    Princes St Gardens
    The Dungeons
    Calton Hill
    Botanic Gardens
    Climb up Arthur's Seat
    Greyfriars Church

    Royal Museum
    Holyrood Palace
    Our Dynamic Earth
    The Scottish Parliament
    The Royal Yacht Britannia

If you are into photography, then Edinburgh provides lots of opportunities, also the Ansel Adams display is on at the City Art Centre until 19th of April.

Or just head down to the Grassmarket and tour the pubs :)

If you're up at the castle, then Camera Obscura is worth a visit.

thanks for all the recommendations! lots of stuff to check out it seems, we will definitely be going to the castle as we are staying really close to it, not sure about anything else, i guess it really depends on how much time we have free.
