It's time for a complete overhaul. I would be looking at a Ryzen R5 1600 and a GTX 1060 as a minimum. It would be one hell of an upgrade.
Agreed - can't see much worth saving from that current setup asides from maybe the HDD if you need a little extra storage or perhaps the DVD drive but again only if you need it. What do you use your PC for mainly?
I recently helped a friend build a new PC from scratch around a Ryzen 5 1600 for 1700, but then he wanted a 1080 and a New G-Sync 1440p screen... So 1000 quid of the budget went on that.... I think I still have the PC part picker list I made for his saved somewhere... The only thing I would think you might be able to salvage is the case, but the P182 I used to have wasn't the best for cooling, lovely and quiet but not very cool....

Wow!! Thanks for the advice. Guess my old setup needs to retire . The setup will be mainly use for gaming and a couple editing. Just also wondering, is the new Ryzen got good reviews?
The specs that bindibadgi has chosen is it good enough for gaming and some video editing? Plus it is easily upgradable in the future?
Yep, it will run recent games just fine and video editing ain't no problem either. As for future upgrade compatibility, that is always a bit a tricky one, AMD said they will stick with the current socket for a while, but of course there are never any guarantees.
AMD has committed to compatibility of AM4 through to Zen2 in 2019. Six core CPU is the investment to make this year.
The only thing I would change is the memory. Grab something slightly faster as Ryzen really benefits from it. 3200 won't break the bank and should give you about 5 to 7% more performance over 2666. Other than that, the build looks spot on.
