I have a list of data, and I want to do some sort of lookup based transpose, so I can populate columns with the correct photo file names.

Basically, the data is currently sorted as per columns A & B on the shot below, and I need to get it into the format of D, E, F, G, H and so on:

It is more complex than meets the eye, but I'm sure it's achievable. We have tens of thousands to sort out ;)

    Any ideas?

So, you want to group and transpose?

Is this the kind of thing you want?

Cheers Dave, it wasn't quite right but I was able to bodge the data and macro a bit to make it do as it was told :D

I would use a pivot table. It wouldn't come exactly as you want, but at least it will put in a format where it should be easier to manage.
