PC gamer included The Divison in a artiucle of the 5 gaming trends of 2014, they think The D will be part of a resurgence of RPG's, but also contribute to the evolution of multiplayer that they expect in 2014 along with Titanfall.
Yeah, I've heard rumbles of that too. Fine by me though, plenty to be going on, and its a fairly ambitious game so better to get it right than release a pig.
I believe I saw that on the PC gamer site, correct? Didnt get a chance to check it out though, on my to do list for when i get home.
Apparently Ubisoft are downgrading the PC version so it looks closer to its console counterparts. Literally not even a year into the launch of the 'next gen' and consolification is already happening. Pathetic.
Wow. That's depressing. I can't help but wonder what Ubisoft (or other publishers) would gain by doing this. Why wouldn't they want to show that their technology is powerful, scalable and made to get the best out of any platform? Are they being paid extra by Microsoft/Sony?
So a game that's developed on PC's for consoles is being ported from the console to PC and downgraded accordingly. Is that what I'm reading in a nut shell? Wouldn't it make sense to make a PC version then downgrade assets for console development? Just saying!
Their console players are their bigger market. They don't want their fans looking at it on PC and feeling bad they bought it on console because the PC version looks so much better.
