News Toshiba to buy Fujitsu HDD division

Toshiba has announced a memorandum of understanding which will see it purchasing rival Fujitsu's entire hard drive operations - including manufacturing and R&D.

 

I honestly don't know what to think of this, I've never used any of their products, except once I carried a Fujitsu server, nothing much there. The company I workED for took in the Fujitsu representatives where I used to live, and I worked along side them, but on other projects.

 

IMO this won't actually change anything for consumers. As said, Toshiba will enter enterprise market, and given the extensive coverage of the area by the Fujitsu this might do them well.
