i should hit 1 million points today and a lot more to come now ive just started folding with 16 cores
lol its nothing special more of a budget 4p set up the board is a Arima AMD Opteron Quad Core Socket F 3000 series-PITA of a board lol 4x AMD Opteron 8354 2.2ghz quad core cpu's 75w each 16x 1gb ram 667.... im having trouble with the ram as the seller from the USA has sent me mixed ram so ive only got 8gig working so far and ive been told im losing 20k ppd untill i get 16gig ppd of the setup should be around 75-80k it should pull around 350w of power where as the 3 quad core cpu's and 3 gpu i was running would be using more than double the power and i was getting around 35k ppd
Thanks pic.. i need to get a bigger heatsink on the top left cpu its running around 5-6c hotter than the others and its got 2 fans on it lol

yes its rather large lol... ive got mine sat on a piece of MDF with M4 bolts and nuts through the holes so its about an inch high im afraid not... as far as i/we know it only likes barcelona Opterons it does say why somewhere in the thread i linked but its that long i cant remember where lol
hmm very tempted so PPD wise? Where did you get the CPU's from? Ahh Ebay has Opteron 2350 for £17 quid. Quad @ 2ghz not bad. Also what Client/mode is it in? SMP's?
with my 4 8354's and 16x1gb ram on -bigbeta it should be around 80000ppd im only running 8gb atm i got my cpu's off ebay £14.99 each free post but there all sold... the board also only likes 8347 to 8360 series opterons as far as i know you can only install Linux Ubunbu, 10.10 is best... install guide http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1601608 im running client 6.34 i believe with -smp -bigbeta flags look at my folding summary link ive just added to my sig

Looks like my stats have fixed themselves. Looking forward to seeing some decent ppd now I have put all my folding machines on a single (chilled) loop and added a GTX 670 Cheesecake
Just noticed I made our top ten producers approaching an average ppd of 100K (when it settles out now I've updated my wc loop)

Reduced the o'c on the server from 4GHz to 3.8GHz and temps havent gone above 78°C, so will leave it running. Unfotunately this means I will no longer hit 100k+ ppd. Oh well.
