After testing my bro in laws 360 turns out his psu had died, used one of ours and all was fine except the tray wouldn't eject.

Fixed that by taking the 360 completely apart and found some dust and fibres seemingly jamming the mechanism, cleaned that and it ejected but then went on a continuous loop of opening and closing.

Took the tray apart and found that when I had used a screw driver to release the tray I had inadvertently bent one of the contacts that are used to tell the drive when its open or shut (which ever the case maybe) so I bent that back into position and now the drive doesn't work at all.

All I get is a continuous fast flash green light.

Anyone had any experience of this at all?

Does it turn on without the HDD connected [assuming it's the original style 360]?

Tbh, given they're £15 on Fleabay, I'd be just replacing the dvd drive.

From memory, the 360 drives are mildly temperamental at best.
