    This regularly comes up in steam sales at 80% off. Was available for around £3-4 recently.

    I assume you mean 3DMark Advanced Edition? 'cos Port Royal ain't out yet. (And if you buy 3DMark Advanced Edition now, you don't get Port Royal unless you shell out an extra $3 when it comes out - as per the article.)

    Completely I should have specified the base program. I guess it will be discounted heavily again during the Christmas sales. Its pretty normal that they sell "DLC" like this, but again it heavily discounted regularly. All I was trying to get at was that you can get it significantly cheaper with a bit of patience. Its still pretty rubbish you need to pay for an "upgrade" but I don't mind paying £1 for a new benchmark. I normally cover it by selling a few steam card.
