can anyone tell if i really can use the "undocumented jp17 trick" to overclock with multiplier locked athlon xp 1800+ and soltek sl-75kav? undocumented yeah right... reads on manual page 26 that jp17 makes mobo read the multiplier from dip switches instead of fid supplied by cpu. would be kinda nice if this really works since i get disk error after upping fsb by 6mhz...
I'm not really sure what your talking about, but wouldn't it just be easier to get an unlocking kit, or take a pencil or other conductive instrumment and draw on your CPU?
