Unreal 2 crashes at start up

    This is a copy paste i took from another board i added to
    i registered to like 2 other boards cus this game is old and not many people play
    but i'd love to replay it...thanks

    i get that error when trying to run U2
    i bought the anthology pack at bestbuy yesterday
    Unreal 1 and unreal tournament 1 run just fine
    unreal tournament 2004 had an error but i switched
    the render device to opengl
    i then went into the u2 ini file
    noticed theres no opengl option render device
    the opengl option for UT04 worked fine..

    here are my system specs

    Evga 680i Mobo A1 version
    Evga 8800gts 640mb
    Kingston hyper x 800mhz DDR2
    quad core 6600
    latest nvidia XP compatible 32bit drivers
    im running windows XP pro 32bit with SP2

    i did see a thread on here bout this problem
    but i noticed this person was talking bout the AMD X2 processors and not intel
    would i have to disable 3 of the cores on my pc? to get this to work?
