I'm actually quite looking forward to Return to Monkey Island, it might be dire but I have decent hopes of it being a solid game.
In the future I can see, Starfield. To be specific, Starfield once the modders have corrected all the bugs. After that, the next Witcher and ES6. Crystal ball for those. I would say GTA VI but then it's been so long since I played V that I'm not sure I care anymore. Edit: The next Kingdom Come after Deliverance - loved that, no idea when that will emerge.
System shock remake and GHPC are the only things on my radar as of late. oh i almost forgot Sniper Elite 5
A Plague Tale Requiem which is the sequel to Innocence. That and whatever the Yakuza series brings next. Also will be interesting to see where Forza Horizon 7 goes next, hope they do Japan.
I'm not being funny, I'm just not following. Patching for next gen is hardly a re-release or have I missed something? I mean if you have the game on PS4 you don't have to buy it again to get the free upgrade to PS5. I dunno, I can't say I keep bang up to date on games tbh.
My perception is that CDPR has been milking Witcher 3, a 6 year old game, for all it's worth and then some following the less than savoury reception of Cyberpunk (and probably the Netflix series) - "no don't look over there, look over here, everyone loves Witcher 3, oooooooh shiny" It was a riff on that, it apparently didn't land, don't worry about it.
Starfield is probably near the top of my list, I'm also fairly interested in Forspoken. Although I know the team has split and changed, there's been issues with the main writer and the development has been a total mess, I'm still sort of looking forward to Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong. I'm also a big Dune fan, so excited to hop into the early access for the new Spice Wars x4 strategy game... which I believe is later this month. I love grand strategy stuff so it should tick a lot of boxes for me. Crimson Desert is also on my radar, I've been dipping in and out of following that over the past year. I enjoyed Black Desert Online and keen to see what they do with the single-player title. Last one that I'm excited for, though no idea what it'll be coming, is Star Wars Eclipse.
