My P4 3ghz is showing it's age. I open up 3 Visual Studios, Photoshop CS2, ASP.NET, 8 Folders with thumbnails.....it's sloooow even with 2 gigs of RAM and a raptor. I think it's time to upgrade but I'm low on cash I plan to get this for the mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813121035 And a low end 1.86 ghz Core 2 Duo and some cheap 1.5 DDR2 ram. Will it beat my current P4 config? 1.86ghz sounds slow. Also, I have a Geforce 5200 8x AGP and some PCI cards. Are they compatible with PCI Express? What's the diff between PCI Express x 16 and PCI Express x 1?
