ok so i just got my new Digi Cam, Canon A40, its great, but now i want to connect it to my camputer to rip the images... i cant get that to work tho... i dunno what to do , i have loaded all the drivers and i spent all night last night on it, it connects via the usb port and then it has a small usb output...

i tried it on both ports and on the extra add-in ones also (the ones in the pci slot covers) still nothing, i also tried to use a usb mouse for a while when my camputer was brand new(last saturday) but that didnt work so i was like 'screw it i gotta play CS'

so i dunno if usb can just die? my motherboard works perfectly fine...

    what do you think?

what motherboard have you got as on my MSI board when you enable high performance defaults the usb ports are disabled in the bios.

If you are using the same bios as me then go into it and look under intergrated peripherals and there should be an option called usb ports. You should enable them all and then enable yhe setting below them. You do not need to enable the 64 bit emulation.

I assume that you have checked that the USB ports aren't disabled in Windows either?

enable both is the one you want.

    then enable the controller.
