I am thinking of using a heat sink as a water block. I would use a heat sink something like this as the heat sink. it would be fully enclosed in a clear plastic box and thread cut in the bottom of the base so the heat sink can be held in place using the holes in the motherboard. I am doing this because I think there would be a much more efficient heat transfer and save me some money buying a “real” water block. Would it work and is there any point in doing it?

    pic ( i hope)
