isn't a AMD 64FX or something similar better for gaming? But that MB looks great, and then it doesn't care about the CPU... Well, I want that screen :p

Wow, this will be very cool! :thumb:

Oh, and why is everyone making it sound as if an X800 + 3GHz P4 would be slow? :eyebrow:

    Looking forward to this one.

The FX53 would be a better choice for gaming, but really... the hardware he's got there will be more than enough to run HL2 at good resolution with high detail levels. I've got an ASUS X800 here at the moment, and I can vouch for it being a fantastic piece of kit... piloux, just wait til you see the size of the box :eeek: :D

There's also the lack of motherboards for the FX53 at the moment, and there certainly isn't one which fits in better than the board he's chosen, it should look damn awesome with that board in there.

Best of luck with the project dude, hope it looks as l33t (if not l33ter) than Blackmesa :hip:

Congrats man, this will be an amazing mod i am sure.

Subscribed already to, cant wait to see some progress on it.

Are you going to be making it as smilliar as possible to your blackmesa case or are you changing some parts of it?

Hey, that's really awesome man. Good job.

Please make something more in the Valve scheme instead of HL2 though.
