ive tried goole already, i had 2 HD4850's then installed a waterblock, left it in my closet for a month or two, dont ask why, now with my loop runing in full, the lights on both cards, both leds, blink on and off, what does it mean, dose it mean there dead, no info so far on flashing led, both red flashing led's plz help
Well I know nothing about these cards, or LEDs on the cards, but my guess would be that they want a fan plugged into the fan header. Some motherboards wont start without a cpu fan plugged in so it may work like that. Is the PC just not booting at all, we need a bit more info on what actually happens when you turn the PC on, and what the rest of your hardware is. The best thing to try is plugging in the fans of the stock coolers, you can leave your water blocks and loop running, just have a fan in the fan header and see if they will boot up like that.
Thats for the reply matticus, well, i have made some progress. The computer boots through post with abosolutly no problems , except the 4850 displays no video, i also hae no leds lit up soo im error free, im guessing i gotta check out my loop
correct me if I am wrong but there are actually 4 lights on the 4850. if I was home i would look at mine to confirm this. anyway, assuming that there are, they should have the same meaning as the 4870, which someone has listed here:http://www.visiontek.com/forum/view...d&sid=68034667052b75439b98907c566bf73e#p11931 Check which lights are lighting up for you and that should help figure out whats wrong. and what power supply do you have? the reason I ask is that 3 of the 4 lights have to do with power.
Thanks chris, however im preety sure there only two led's and none of them power on, it does its quick 100 percent fan test while all lights are on, it does its check up and resumes normality except no videoout put, ive heard this haves something to do with over heating?
have you tried just one to see if its a crossfire problem? A mate of mine could get his to work (not w/c) turned out he had the crossfire strip upside down
