My motherboard has 10 updates available...do I need to install each individual update sequentially (from the oldest to the newest) or does the latest update include all the previous updates?

I've sometimes found the latest BIOS to be problematic and had to go back one or two versions.

If you dont need to flash it for a particular reason (i.e updated CPU code list) sometimes easier not to bother.

    Suck it and see ;)

Don't think of a BIOS as a patch it is software that is the complete package. So each version of the BIOS if applied will completely overwrite the previous version of BIOS, it's as simple as that. Some Motherboards do have dual BIOS to recover from a failed flash which is something Gigabyte are keen on but otherwise you usually either succeed at the BIOS flash or fail! I've never experienced a failure yet, touch wood! :D
