yeah... you'd definitely want some of those no spill decoupler things. Upgrading would be a pain in the ass.
Not as much as you'd think. It is 1.79 times the weight of water, but has very low viscosity and once the pump overcomes inertia it is all good. And it's not just the price --that stuff is incredibly hard to get your hands on. I designed the whole loop to be removable from the case (pump, res, tubing, blocks) without having to disconnect any parts of the loop. But yes, once you need to change a block... it's a pain. Even more so because it evaporates at room temperature. This is great in case of a spill since your components dry quickly and it leaves no residue, but you cannot just leave fluid to collect in an open tray or container. You need to drain the loop into a container quickly and immediately put an airtight lid/cap on the container. But the real reason for not upgrading is that I haven't needed to for a long time. However I am working on the next build... found someone who can do some CNC for me.
Nice. I've just discovered someone who can do a bit of this and that with cnc. However, I'm so new to the concept of building something from scratch I need to design something first.
NHS or Civil service is likely to be flexitime / hours credit rather than money. Its all very well but im over 200 hours in credit cos its too busy for me to take time off!
