They'll just sc---- Actually, this one might be more than decent. Much of what has been shown and said (by actors and the director alike) was promising. It is still a Hollywood adaptation of an unbelievably dense and complex book, but maybe.... One can dream, right?

It seems like it would benefit from being seen in the cinema, some of the shots look very wide for a domestic screen and might lack the scale otherwise. I still feel it seems a bit... flat? I know Villeneuve's colour palette is often a little desaturated but I worry that sterility will follow over into production of a complicated actioner rather than space opera. I know everything he has done before suggests I should be wrong, so will continue to cautiously cross my fingers.

The ESX server is up and running, quietly. Which is nice.

Start a new job in a week and the company has already sent me almost everything I need to work from home - laptop, dock, 2 monitors, work phone, headset and keyboard. I think there might be more coming as well. My current employer wouldn't even replace my laptop when it was almost completely dead (daily blue screens, data being lost/corrupted, screen failing) until I sent pictures everyday of the current issue to the head of department. That laptop then went to a new starter as well.

Been feeling a bit blue lately but me and the missus have actively started searching for a home as we now have all the paperwork needed to be able to put in a speedy offer.

took time out to study the layering technique of an artist i admire, tossed together a test piece and it came out surprisingly better than I thought it would, need to focus on my brushwork but overall I'm quite happy with this one.

going to pick at it a little more before i call it done.

Bought a massive job lot of books a few months ago thinking I could filter through them in slow time, made my money back but largely it was a waste of time as expected and I only listed a small portion. Had considered charity shopping them, giving them away, recycling them etc

gave my mum 4 today to read and she said she never keeps the books when finished but gives them to the charity book shop at her work. Contacted the lady to see if she needed some donated stock and she was extremely keen

they’re getting a visit with approximately 120 books, I’m getting a nice big empty section of loft space. Everyone’s a winner.

Just took a leisurely stroll around to the local market shop and post office. Weather is perfect. Not a cloud in the sky, but not too hot. Just like fall in the U.S.

I need to start pushing myself to go out more I really enjoyed that.

Thankfully there is nothing really here apart from a school. So as long as you don't go out after 3pm you avoid the Gremlins.

I decided to take the day and fix mum's shed as I was supposed to back in March. And I did it, and I am glad it's finally done. So now the doors close and you can lock them from being blown off again during the next high winds.

I now have a bunch of SVG illustrations of Apricot computers, including this beauty.

No, I don't really know why I did that. Nor what I'll use 'em for. Hooray!

lol I doubt it fella. This one (Richard the Third) is on a "No win no fee" so no doubt I will be lucky to get £50.

This one wasn't about the money. She's already furnished my entire flat. This one was out of principle.
