Lack of women at your new job, or did you lose your sex appeal?

Well it was a guy in the last one. He likes asian boys and armpits according to his Instagram follow list.

It's all women in this job. Girls tend to just call me cute when they think I'm gone.

The land rover started leaking oil quite badly ever since that time I drove it at 50mph, I managed to locate the leak as being the rear main seal (where the crankshaft exits the engine to feed power through the clutch). This is a cheap fix, but involves removal of the engine. I just haven't the time for that.

I bunged a can of Wynn's leak stop (some weirdo solvents that soften up hardened rubber seals) and went for a drive. It dropped a puddle of oil the size of a digestive biscuit, previously it would have been a dinner plate. The next journey it dropped absolutely nothing. Frankly I'm amazed that it works at all let alone so well?

Most likely it's still on its original seal, so 48 years old. I expect I won't be glued so tight by that age so I can forgive it.

So. So. Today my two and a half years of flogging myself to death at my work, all of the stress and anxiety of the last 2 years, all of the massive frustration of the last 8 month, finally vindicated. A 28% pay rise, putting me firmly in the top 10% of incomes. Its a huge uplift, I was expecting 10%, I'd been campaigning for 20% or so, they offered just under 30%. Its actually blown my mind. It feels like so much its just silly. And it'll be back dated to last month, so end of this week will be a double whammy and then next month we'll get our bonuses. 2021 I was struggling. 2019 I was really struggling. Only a few years later and my income is 2.5 times! It just feels surreal!

I guess I'll have to start taking holidays!

Can you lend me a tenner…? :naughty:

Hair transplant is now in 20 days and counting, I’ve waited a solid 7 years for this, paid the final bill today.

    Awesome news :thumb:

A couple more pay rises like that and you can get a 5090 later this year

E: As a side note, I'm not surprised it feels surreal. I often find it takes longer for good news to sink in than bad

I got the first pay at the new level yesterday, back dated to April, and they helped reinforce it! I can buy a house now, thats for sure!

I am currently working at home (week in week out sort of rota) and it appears that this is about the time that I get "help". Of course "help" can be such a loose term and he is really after his dinner, but I'll allow it...

My office supervisor was firmly planted on my seat when I got to work this morning.
He did however move rapidly from sleep when I accidentally poured water in his vicinity!
