got to the gym for the first time in a week, which feels great

 

An epic night last night, Andy McKee's harp guitar is sooo much more of a beast in person. As is the man himself! Lovely chap, hung about afterwards signing stuff and taking pictures and whatnot.

 

Had a look at Amazon's games trade-in service last night. Ditching 15 360/PS3/Wii games I never play any more and getting £108(!) credit with Amazon. It's all going in the new TV fund

oh, and it's free postage!

 

Things that are making my life awesome in general this year (so far):
- Missus is happier and more relaxed this year. Business of hers is doing well.
- My own business is doing well
- My day job department is hopefulyl growing by two staff this side of May
- I have found time to work on a web project I have been meaning to work on for a year at least by now, just never got around to it.
- I am making music again with one of my best mates int he world, after 7 years of us playing in various bigger bands in South Africa and Namibia. Feels good and natural.

My 2nd class friday got cancelled so instead of finishing at 11, waiting 2 hours and going to a 1 hour lecture I just get to leave at 11!

Due to my new unemployment I can FINALLY sleep in Saturday! Woot! (I hated my job too so I really didn't care, been there for 4 years too long, woulda been 5 in August)

My microsoft sql server 2008 group project was easier than I thought, and because my partner bailed the other night he offered to buy me lunch to make up for it. Free food Cheesecake!

Unrelated to all in WoW our guild leader started getting on everyones nerves and kept ditching guildies for pugs so she could advance and not offering to help. Needless to say, we had an uprising and a good 10 of us left, our main healer, tank and dps so no more guild runs for her! She wants to dick us around and than say we useless when we wanna run stuff, she can go F off! We started a new guild and our initiation requires recruits to pm said ex-guild leader with a "BRO YOU MAD" It's awesome trolling fun!

Just had some awesome lag-free games of BFBC2, seems my router is working again..

 

Just learned that one of my classes a) won't be having a final during finals week and b) will be having a final project instead which is amazingly easy! Finished about 50% of the requirements in an hour, taking account of the minor details afterwards I'm probably about 20% done, still going to be easy as pie.

Also, tied the knot in a small informal ceremony yesterday so my fiancee could make decisions for me when I have the surgeries I have to have this year. First one's in a few weeks.

Lifes awsome for me as my bonus from work will be spent tomorrow on a summer holiday for my wife and daughter. Yay sun to look forward to.

 

I was on a 8Mbps connection with a 40GB limit and I was paying $12.50/month for 30 more GB for a total of 56$/month. Tuesday I'll switch to a 15Mbps/90GB connection for $55/month

 

I just lead a team to build an Electric Snowmobile, we got it finished and it happens to drive like a bat out of hell.

So now I get to fly to Michigan tomorrow to compete with it in an engineering competition.
